A Harvest alternative that works the way Harvest used to
Updated 2026-10-21 · Written by the Feestead team
If your Harvest renewal email made you look for something else, you probably don't want a new way of working. You want the same timer, the same weekly timesheet and the same reports — at a price you can predict.
Why teams are leaving Harvest in 2026
After Bending Spoons acquired Harvest in 2025, pricing moved from a flat per-seat fee to a per-seat fee plus usage-based charges for things like projects, clients, tasks and invoices. Some long-time customers reported renewal quotes several times higher than before; press coverage cited increases of up to 1,500% (Subscription Insider).
The hard part isn't choosing a new tool. It's moving years of time entries and rates without losing anything, and keeping the integrations you built around Harvest.
What Feestead does differently
- One-click import. People, clients, tasks, projects, task rates and every time entry, including billable flags, rates and invoiced status. Re-run it on cut-over day; nothing is duplicated.
- Reconciliation before you cancel. For every project, Feestead compares the number of entries, total hours and billable amount with Harvest's own numbers and shows a check mark or the exact difference.
- Harvest-compatible API. Same endpoints and JSON for time tracking data. Point your scripts at Feestead instead of
api.harvestapp.com. - Flat pricing. $11 per person per month. No fees per project, client, task or invoice. Price locked for 24 months if you're coming from Harvest.

When Harvest is still the better choice
If you rely on Harvest's built-in invoicing with online payments, expenses with receipts, estimates or Harvest Forecast, Feestead doesn't replace those today. Many teams split the job: time tracking in Feestead, invoices in QuickBooks or Xero using our invoice-lines export.
How to switch
- Create a personal access token at
id.getharvest.com/developers. - Sign up for Feestead and paste the token and your Harvest account ID.
- Check the reconciliation report — every project should show a check mark.
- Invite your team, keep both tools running for a week, then re-run the import and cancel.
Before cancelling, also export your Harvest data as a backup — invoices and expenses especially.
